HANDLING EMOTIONS

Emotions can be hard right?!


Sometimes they can be super overwhelming and we can get completely wrapped up in them and how we feel in any situation. Then on top of that we have the thoughts that our minds create to go along with them…it can be tough being human.


What I’ve learnt through my journey is that no emotions are ‘bad’, they are simply energy in motion (E-Motion) travelling through our chakras or energy system and if left unhindered they will simply flow through us.


The issue comes when we judge these as bad or wrong and try to stop them, suppress them or allow them to control our actions or decisions. This is where we start to create dis-ease or chaos in our lives.


The way I deal with my emotions is to first of all relax, allow the emotion to just be as it is and not to tense up. Secondly I observe the emotion without making it bad. Feel what it feels like in the body. And thirdly I take my attention off of what ever the mind is doing or saying and place it either on my third eye or on my breath.
