Hey beautiful people,
Today I’m taking about the process of how we use our awareness to over come triggers or to change auto pilot responses and behaviours in our lives.
Lots of times when we notice that we react in a certain way to things that no longer resonates, we beat ourselves up because we keep falling into the same pattern even after we see it.
When we first see the trigger it is some time after the event or when someone else notices it and tells us. Now we have gained some awareness and set the intention to change it. If we carry on raising our awareness around this the point in which we become conscious of the action will get closer and closer to the actual trigger point. Then when both these points reach the same moment and we are aware of the trigger as it happens, we now have the choice as to how we can deal with it differently. This is where we change.
So if you notice yourself unconsciously repeating the same pattern, do not be down on yourself. Observe the action and bring those points closer together in time until you can make that choice.
